WESTSIDE TURNS 40!
July 12, 2008 marked the 40th anniversary of the Westside Volunteer Fire and
Rescue Department Inc.  We celebrated with an open house at our founding
station.   Station 13 was opened in 1968 with several founding members having
to put their own homes up as colateral for the loan to build the station.  The
station was dedicated to the member with the longest  run of service to the
department.  Clarence "Flash" Ennis gave 39 years of service to Westside and
sets a great example for the current and future firefighters to follow.
