WESTSIDE FIRE AND RESCUE
DEPARTMENT STATIONS
STATION 13
STATION 16
STATION 23
Located at 225 Westside
cir. just off US Hwy 64 west
of Asheboro, NC,  Station
13 was our first station
opened offically in July
1968.  When it opened it
was the only fire station
between Asheboro and the
Davidson county line,
covering all of western
Randoph county.
In the mid 1980's to help
reduce response time and
increase the department's fleet,
department leaders opened our
second station at 3141
Plainfield road.  It is near the 3
way intersection of Old County
Farm, Lake Lucas, and
Plainfield roads.
In 2006 we opened our third
station on Old NC Hwy 49.
This station was built so
that an area that was not
within 5 miles of a current
station would have better
coverage and get insurance
benifits.
